It follows the tragic story of Norma Desmond, a faded Hollywood star who lives in a fantasy world of her past glory, and Joe Gillis, a struggling screenwriter who becomes her lover and victim. This film captures the first full performance of the revised version of the musical, staged at the Sydmonton Festival on September 5th, 1992.
